How to Add Funny Instagram Captions

Do you love taking photos on your social media sites like Instagram and Facebook? Did you know that a simple way to add some humor to your photos is to add funny captions to them? In this article, I’m going to show you how to use funny Instagram captions to add a silly, fun twist to your photos. The secret is to focus on funny things that relate to whatever it is that you’re trying to capture in your pictures.

First, let’s talk about why funny Instagram captions are such a great way to spice up your photos. I’ve got some evidence to back up this claim. Confession: I have A LOT of photos and selfies on my phone. Not only do I have them, but I also have a bunch of great photos of my friends and cat because she’s so stinky, yep, just like me.

So now you’re probably wondering, what do I have to share with you then? Nothing! If you’ve read this far, you must be in love with cats, especially my cat Ladybell! Cats are awesome and this article isn’t about cat ownership or animal behavior, it’s about using cats in an amusing way to take gorgeous Instagram photos.

So, what types of funny captions should you use on Instagram? The answer is simple-anything! I use funny captions all the time, especially when I’m trying to make a point with a photo or a caption. The best part about using funny captions on Instagram is that they don’t have to be overly loud or crazy to be funny. If you’re at a loss for words to add into your caption, there are hundreds of samples and tips for you to look through on the internet. Also, there are a ton of great sites that you can subscribe to for free that will give you funny captions, or even funny poetry that can make for great poetry readings.

Here’s an example of a funny caption I recently added to a photo I posted of Ladybell: “She looks like the cat from the Narnia movie.” Do you see what I mean? The photo of Ladybell was inanimate, but the caption conveyed her personality completely. It was a witty joke that was guaranteed to get a laugh from everyone who looked at it.

I also like to add funny quotes and sayings to my Instagram photos, especially those taken while hiking or camping. A photo I recently posted of me and my cat had the phrase “You are so pretty to look at when she’s sleeping” above it. How could I forget the quote “A cat is a man’s best friend”? That one really went viral.

For example, I once shared a photo of me and my son hanging out at the zoo. My son asked if we could post the photo on to our MySpace page, and so I added this caption: “We have just returned home after our adventure at the zoo. Our pal, #2, seemed like he enjoyed it too.”

Of course, it wouldn’t be a MySpace page without some funny pictures either. I have a collection of funny pictures from all of my trips. I keep them all in a folder labeled “funny”, so they’re easily accessible when I need a funny photo to add to my page. I’m constantly amazed at how easy it is to come up with captions for photos on Instagram. Once you get past all of the technical stuff, it’s really quite simple to write captions that light up the fun of taking pictures.

For example, I posted this photo of my daughter enjoying a snow day at the ski resort we like on Instagram. So I decided to write this caption: “or #5 love to ski in the snow today. Skiing is so much fun.” And it worked. The rest of the post was just a bunch of funny things I had written in response to the photo.

If you haven’t tried it before, it can also be incredibly easy to create captions for photos on Instagram. There are several online services that will allow you to upload any photo and then create a caption that will appear in your status updates. For example, there is a service called Hootsuite that you can use to upload photos and write captions on each one. There are also services like Quizilla that will allow you to put in a picture and then write a caption. This is a great way to share interesting or funny things about yourself. It’s also a good way to show off your sense of humor if you have this skill.

If you’d rather not use captions, you can still add them to your posts. There are a few tools on Instagram that will let you put a short snippet of text around a photo or graphic. Again, just try something random or different in order to make it different from all of the other photos you’re posting.
