Funny Tummy began in 2002 when I found myself with a little free time on my hands, and I began thinking about the kind of web site that would he fun to make; that would reflect my interest in food and cooking. Since I'm always up for a laugh, it seemed only natural to create a web site that combined humor with food and cooking. After all, every home cook has had a good laugh in the kitchen from time to time.

Some of my favorite funny kitchen memories center around the holidays when frantic activity in the kitchen has resulted in either a brilliant outcome or a total disaster. For example, the first time I made a souffle I did it without the benefit of a recipe. Much to my surprise, and the delight of my Thanksgiving guests, it came out beautifully! On the other hand I've been known to get so crazy in the kitchen that I wind up with batter on the ceiling, in my hair, and even on the dogs. But hey, if you're not having fun, why bother, right?
